Lego Guillotine

I recently saw a cartoon about a Guillotine: When the executioner cuts of the head, he gets different points based on where it lands.

When I saw it, I thought: I can make this in real life! Or at least in Lego, where it will be easier to find some test subjects.

The guillotine part itself was not that difficult. The main challenge was to make the blade heavy enough to behead the poor minifig.

After that, it became a bit more difficult: the minifig head is cut off with such a big force that it always got catapulted away. To solve it, I added some transparant windows. But I really needed to have a rather large tower to slow it down sufficiently.

In the final build, I have decreased the speed of the video because it still goes quite fast.

And in the bottom part, you can see how many point you get based on where the head lands: one, two or three points.
