Halloween
With the end of October fast approaching, it’s time to celebrate one of my favorite yearly traditions: pumpkin carving! Every year, I take inspiration from classic films. If you’ve followed my past creations, you might remember pumpkins inspired by E.T., Mars Attacks, Lord of the Rings, Gremlins, Predator, and IT.
This year, I decided to carve not just one but two movie-inspired pumpkins. Here’s a peek at this year’s designs:
Minion Pumpkin

This pumpkin is a bit unique in style. Instead of intricate details, I chose to peel back a large section of the pumpkin for a smooth surface, giving it a striking, bold look. I painted the bottom half blue for the pants and added black for the mouth and eye accents. For the eyes, I used two lids and attached them to the pumpkin, completing the quirky Minion look.

Jaws Pumpkin

My second pumpkin is a tribute to the classic thriller Jaws. The design shows the infamous great white shark lunging up toward an unsuspecting swimmer. This one required a bit more carving precision to capture the suspenseful feel of the scene!
