During the Easter holidays, I visited Sevilla. It’s a really beautiful city with a lot to see and do. From cozy tapas bars to the Royal Alcázar (famous as a filming location for Game of Thrones), and of course the bullring, there’s always something interesting around the corner.
One place that stood out the most to me was the Plaza de España. Built for the 1929 Ibero-American Exposition, it’s a huge semi-circular square with bridges, a canal, and impressive buildings all around. It’s one of those spots that makes you stop and just take it all in.
Movie fans might recognize it from Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones. Parts of the Plaza were used as the backdrop for the planet Naboo, where Padmé and Anakin are seen walking together. Standing there, it’s fun to imagine that scene being filmed in the very same place.

Sevilla is full of history and culture, but little surprises like this make it even more memorable. If you ever get the chance to go, the Plaza de España is definitely worth a visit — whether you’re into Star Wars or not.
